   My .177 Hammerli 850 air magnum was purchased for back yard plinking and is a real pleasure to shoot with accuracy potential beyond my current abilities so thought it was time to put a bit more effort in.
Unit is powered by the 88 gramme CO2 cartridge and I get 160 consistent shots. 
I like the Webley VMX 8.18 grain operating at 710fps and 8.18 ft/lbs.
This weekends project was to fit an AO scope and upload the TargetScan shooting phone app and learn how to use it.

I chose a Sig Sauer Whiskey 3  AO 4-12 x 44 scope.
The initial fitting was easy using Gamo rings and as expected very little adjustment needed to zero.
Completed 80 shots plinking at different ranges on first evening to make sure all settled in and working well.

Next morning I set up the pellet trap on a fence post and this gave me 22 metres to complete a quick test so I could try out the new scanner phone app.

When entered into the app the cardboard targets I have on hand appear as 10m pistol shooting, I hope to find a 25 metre version and set up targets at both distances.

Great fun and results indicate plenty of room for improvement. (quite pleased for first attempt)
I have tended to shoot in the evenings using Shoot.N.C targets which give immediate visual feedback so I found it unusual shooting into the black centre and at that distance getting no visual reference where pellets have landed between shots.

The Sig scope AO distance indications are spot on and the scope is surprisingly clear at higher magnifications for a low cost scope (NZ$420). The turrets are 1/4 MOA with good clear clicks and appear very stable. This particular air rifle rated model has been discontinued from the Sig line up so will become difficult to find.

The TargetScan App (NZ$33) was an easy download and a quick watch of the recommended youtube video ensured first use was not to mysterious. Actual use to photograph target, review and send by email was without frustration.

	Nice post, I've always fancied one of those! i will have to look into the app, it looks interesting. I just need to find more time and space to shoot at home.

	these are excellent co2 rifles and i found the 88gr co2 cylanders just as you did gave 160/170 consistant shots,not lot of shots for the cost of the 88gr cylanders,i modify empty 88gr cylanders to bulk fill and you can buy refillable 88gr cylanders qiute cheaply,these rifles are great candidates for hpa conversions which boosts power up by approx 25% and reduces running costs significantly as well with no loss in accuracy tho shot counts will reduce of course on hpa,i believe they make a pcp version of this rifle too now,hpa will boost these rifles up to 12fpe in 177 and approx 15/16fpe in 22 cal,as said one the best co2 rifles available. cheers mike

	These are great air riles. I have the same model with a few tweeks... Air-Arms Q-Tec silencer. A Picatinny rail to the bottom of the CO2 housing to attach a Bipod. A Walther 2*12g adapter so I don't have to use 88g CO2 cartirdges. A updated hammer spring and spring guide set from Germany.. absolute bastard to get sent to NZ. Increased the power by 2fpe. Lastly, a slightly larger bolt. Using the bipod I can put all 6 shots on bullseye at 30m using H&N Barracuda Hunter Extremes 9.57gr. Love this rifle for putting down rabbits at 10-30metres.
