Looking for some waisted .25 pellets for a historic rifle that is on its way to chez moi.
Maybe 20 or so , a bit of variety would be nice . I dont think the modern slug type pellets would work well here Thanks in advance muzza |

Dude those some of the nicest air guns ive ever seen. Absolutely love at first sight. ( Im totally shocked about that)
Love the simplicity of the stock on what im assuming is spring and piston tube. Solid looking metal workmanship that gives a much more sophisticated and advance look than the primitive stock. Curves which add that old time crafted by actual people feel. What an awsome set of rifles. Im assuming the whole trigger unit slides right back to cock them. Are the barrels rifled. Are the levers both barrel locks ( if thats what they are) or is one a saftey. Or are they something else. Im stunned. Cheers for putting those pics up. Frigging brilliant. How did those fall into your hands. Let us know what they are like to fire. |

the barrel lock is a one piece , tapered lever that mates to a tapered extension on the breech rear , so that it always locks up tight no matter the wear. There is no safety - real men didnt need such trifling things back then.
Yes the whole trigger unit slides to the rea as the action is cocked . It is not overly heavy to cock , but it does take some effort. The rear sights are the same on each rifle , but they are in differant positions on the barrel between rifles. The 25 cal has a longer barrel with the sight set some 2 inches ahead of the .177 sight. I believe the .25 has been refurbished at some stage in its life - the .177 has definately not been refinished . I cant speak for the originality or otherwise of the springs and seals but they both shoot to a reasonable standard. The .177 came from the deceased estate that Andy Mayberry is selling off - the .25 was a Trade Me score . I dont think many folk knew what it was ..... I think older air guns are way cooler than modern ones - although I shoot a Cometa Fusion .22 at our little shooting club airgun nights. Actually I like air guns that intrigue me so the field is wide open really ... :-) |

I would love something like that, but alas my life style dictates that im probly not best position to be a caretaker of history.
Actually just been off looking on web for info. Found this thread which has a few pics and info. Guy trimmed down a diana seal as replacement. Shows the rear end which supprised me with its spring access. Why they ever stop that simple access design? Really is a fascinating gun.
