Hatsan m25 supercharger

Hatsan m25 super charger .22 air pistol.

Its a bit of beast for weight. Its a total beast for cocking.
Sights: Open sights that are very clear to use. Plastic, not great quality but function fine. Yellow fiber optic dots on rear and red on front. Adjustable for height and windage. Front post can be drifted left or right if required.
Dove tail scope groves and screw in scope recoil plate at rear.
Cylinder and piston: lathe tool marks whole length of internal walls.
Steel piston , synthetic seal. Spring powered. End of springs flat, but look like done with barsted file. The piston end has a rather large steel base and guide, that sits in piston and spring. The bass of steel still had the dimple left in center from cutting off on lathe.
Top had longer steel guide and thinner base for spring and sat in a steel cup. Niether guide fitting overly tight in spring.
Barrel: polycarbonate with steel barrel liner that looked liked the grooves had been scratched by nail. ( I truely thought it was smooth bore till the light caught the faint spiraling) Has steel insert for barrel pivot and thin steel inserts where barrel block rotates as breaking. Good tight lock. No droop or side movement. small screw to lock barrel pivot screw.
Trigger: quatro trigger. Terrible tollarances. Couple of sear pins could push out by hand and the pivot hole in couple of sears, bigger than pin. Sears could be wobbled quite a bit. All need shimming. Think 1322 quality trigger build. Saftey is a sliding plate that has couple of shallow grooves for sprung loaded ball bearing to lock into. Pins holding in too long and didn't hold as tight as should. The plate was slighty warped allowing trigger to be pulled with saftey on. I Straitened it up. No grease on any trigger parts. Plastic trigger. whole trigger system body not steel. Is adjustable for first and second stage.
Body and recoil system: body is synthetic and not of high finish internally. Bits of waste molding inside as well .   The cylinder and main body are one unit. The trigger gaurd an pistol grip are one piece and a seperate unit
Top body has recessed square channels near bottom of body that mate onto opposite on pistol grip unit. This is the slide mechanism and how two halfs are joined
There is a small strong spring that attaches from pistol grip unit to upper half. Fire gun, top half slides back and spring returns it back to stops.
Actual pistol grips are pretty comfortable and grippy. Not sure what made of.
My overall view.
Not a serious long term pistol. Quality over all is rough as guts on inside.. whole internals need finishing.
Recoil slide system is going to crap out a some stage. Just the slide action is going to wear with use allowing unwanted movement over time. The return spring will streach or break at some stage not a spring size or attachment shape I've seen before.
Lack of grease on sears, but more importantly slop in trigger parts will cause wear issues it shouldn't. Metal side inserts where barrel rotates are way to thin and will wear through.
Not a gun for juniors due to weight and effort to break barrel.
This a cheap but powerful pistol and would be great for someone who wants to tinker and improve the whole thing with a bit tlc.
I only pulled it apart to grease it, but now see im actually going to have to put a bit of time into it.
Brought it on a whim, no regrets because its fun but not a pistol id recomend for anything but a bit of plinking unless you want to put the effort in.
Over all avoid in my view.

DO NOT BUY THIS GUN!!!
60 shots into trying different pellets, it started misfiring again like before. I had backed the trigger right off from first time it did it and thought the issue was solved.
Not only did it misfire when closing barrel it would misfire when pushing the saftey trigger off.
Then after backing trigger off even more it fired while barrel was half closed and now wont catch.
Assuming spring broke. This really is a sh*t design.

So did a quick bit of work to hatsan 25 supercharger.
Nothing flash, just enough to see if its worth carrying on with.
Then ran 50 ftt pellets through it without cleaning barrel first to see how it went.
Work done: Shimmed sears and polished contact faces.
Straitened cocking arm.
Ground down the rear cup that holds spring by 3mm.
Ground front guide down by about 3 to 5mm.
Straitened rear guide.
Melted plastic that over recoil spring groove to stop it jumping out as the recoil system returned.
greased whole thing and put a layer thicker than usually would where front guide face meets with piston,to ensure it can slip.
Tested 50 pellets on targets.
What might do next is tidy it all up with fine grit abrasive.
Considering pining the recoil system as its an inherent bad design. Has side movement and the recoil spring doesn't pull it back tight. Firm but not tight and spring is going to stretch. Stupid design.
Targets show the group tighten as pellets bed in. Targets numbered 1 to 5 in order shot. Last shots of last group show promise.
