Hi RObO,
I've just sent you a Private Message (PM) with my phone number. Do call me if you need advice - there's a lot to discuss! For example: Finding your barrel's pellet preference, Artillery Hold, Follow Through, Leading your barrel, Wearing-in, Scope choice (preferred magnification, FFP/SFP, rating, focusing/parallax, etc), creating your ballistics chart, holdover/holdunder method, range-finders, wind effects, blah blah blah..... Lots of good stuff to learn over time! For now, your scope requirements - look at Side Focus Hawke or Element models for starters. They are all Air Rifle rated, good quality, great reticules, etc... I personally shoot at x16 magnification so l'd suggest you look for models that include that level at least... and always use Sportsmatch Rings to mount on your rifle. Learning how to shoot Air Rifles well is a great journey! Talk soon.... ![]() |

Same advice he gave me on sportmatch mounts.
Why the diana is scopeless. Waiting for sportmatch mounts. Then i noticed that wulf scope mounts are made by sportmatch. So im assuming they will be good quality too Never had the wulf scope mounts loosen on 1322, but thats not really a test. |

https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketplace/sports/hunting-shooting/air-guns-parts/air-rifles/listing/5922452298 This is great buy. I would have pushed buy now if I had some spare cash. I love older well used guns.

Sorry I haven't replied to the helpful messages regarding scopes etc. We've been a little busy with the orchard just having been picked, but it's settled down again now.
So before I start the hunt for new, does anyone have a good scope they are thinking about selling? I'm budgeting up to around 1k. |

I did this. As for scopes, with some (a lot) of help from Myson, I have locked in on a scope and have found the rings I need also. I went with FFP. ![]() Edited by R0b0tMaf1a - 11 May 2026 at 6:28pm |

Cheers. Didn't even realize that was there. Must look into the site more.
Have you decided on scope brand and model. No doubt sportmatch mounts. My mounts got sent today. Can't wait to have a rifle back in use. Teach to buy something that has had the iron sights removed. Stoked you got advice from Myson and didn't have to do a lot of guess work. What a forum is about. Nice one myson 👍 |

I have just ordered this: HELIX 4-16X44 FFP with the APR-1C MOA reticule. I found Ron Young has rings he thinks will be good on that scope. Sports match HO35c I think it was. I'll order those tomorrow.
