Has anyone tried hunting with a red light spotlight? Ive read that the red light don’t spook the quarry as much as a white light does and am thinking of trying a red light torch on my airgun to see if I have better success.

Yes a lot.
Rabbits hares are way less responce to a red light. Color red in genral, catch is if your shooting the same area all the time they learn its a threat eventually. Eye shine off a red light will show up way more than green or white. Red light doesn't kill your night vision either. If you want to try before you buy you can borrow my scope torch, and a couple of batteries, charger to if you need it. Has red, green ,white light. Three brightness settings. If your scope is a 30mm tube i can provide a scope mount with it all for you to trial. If not you'll have to hand hold it as im not sure where the reducer rings are. You will have to zero on again if scope mounted as it will throw the gun out due to it. However once its on its only a matter of dialing up the zerozero on scope via turrets for naked or torched.
