Was going to get a Weihrauch HW30S this week, but S.R.Marston are out of stock until May this year.

My young one is very keen to get something better quality, we've had troble with the cheap junk available.

Looking for a HW30S or a German made Diana 240

Nice choice.

You could look on collectorweapons.co.nz

There's an deceased collectors range of airguns up for sale with a few springers there.

I have a Chinese-made Diana Two Forty.  The trigger's nothing to write home about but it's actually nicely made and quite accurate, but half the price of the HW30 (I have one to compare). A bit bulkier in the stock though and the wood is very plain with a stain finish.

We have several CO2 Snow Peak rifles and pistols in our club and they all shoot very well.  I have a Diana Outlaw that is also made in China (it had some faults when purchased - see my early post 'Faulty Guns') but my niece is currently bench-rest shooting with it and she loves it.  A very accurate gun.

All of these and many others sold by well known brands are manufactured by SPA (Snow Peak Airguns) and they are now approaching a very high standard of finish and performance so are not to be dismissed.  If they can reach the level that one finds in the Chinese made QYS pellets then they will become a serious threat to the high end manufacturers.
