Hey guys ,
For those of you that have your firearms licence , make sure you make a submission to keep the old man from taking our guns.

PS sorry to be this guy but I consider it important..

It has been done here by      https://www.colfo.org/arms-bill-signup

So all you need to do is copy and paste , change a couple of things and bobs your uncle and fannys your aunt.

Cheers

Especially in view of what's currently happening in Aus.  That won't help our cause at all unfortunately.

I suggest that we ALL make a submission - having a good number of non FAL holders supporting sensible firearms legislation that promotes public safety while respecting licensed firearm owners has to be a good thing.

I know I will be doing this after a bit more reading.

Even non-licenced folk with air guns should submit .

Once they have taken the real firearms who do you think will be next on the list ?

This is the thin edge of the wedge .......
old enough to know better

Good on you all who have submitted and good on you jusepy82 / COLFO for providing an easy way and also for recommending  suggesting personalising submissions.

I have submitted already.

I also suggest that if you have the time do change re-word or write your own submission including your experience with air guns and firearms it is likely to carry more weight than generic submissions.

Because an internet petition is not as good as pages of signatures and also I understand AI may be used to analyse submissions - or at least has been - and we actually want each and every submission to require close consideration.

Overall big ups for the COLFO efforts except I'm not keen on having a go at the cops or anyone else's honesty or credibility in submissions because it's neither relevant nor helpful. Even though I am well aware the Police system was not even close to followed which directly resulted in by far our worst firearms incident in Christchurch and few NZers looked closely enough to know the system absolutely should have prevented that moron from being licenced.

I would also hope the new FA licencing etc authority is staffed with people who all have significant experience with firearms as the person who came to my home knew bugger all and make some ridiculous statements about a few things including how my gun cabinet should be fixed to avoid thieves using a strap and a car to remove it from the invisible from outside corner where I had installed it.

A battery angle grinder must surely be the tool of choice for thieves not a strop and a car...but yes we are so much on the back foot now attacked from all sides I just smiled and agreed with her while my angle grinder sat charging beside her on my kitchen table ready for me to follow her to her next firearms licence renewal.

She was a nice lady but it is not a good thing having people who know nothing enforcing laws or worse still guidelines they have no practical knowledge of.
