First this will be asking about gamo and Hatson multi break air rifles.
So if your a going to say gamo are crap shyt build and quality. Go away this thread isn't for you.
I own a hw97, had a tx, had a sigasp20, this conversation doesn't need your negativity.



Despite all the negative stuff around gamo there are are still passable models with good accuracy.
Plenty people on web shooting good close range groups.
my questions to multi shot springer users.

What gun do you recommend and why?

What is the best trigger system

Is it gas ram or spring

What plastic is in the shooting system
Is the reloader well made? Does it damage pellets?

Have you done any work to it and how much did it improve?

If its a magnum have you tried slugs through it.

What is the maximum distance you could hold 1 inch group and a two inch group at fully rested.

What technique has worked
best for accuracy of hold.
My gamo roadstar didn't like the artillery at all and took a while to find out as all you ever hear is you need artillery hold to be accurate.

Id also be interested in hearing any opion on the hastan multishot if youve shot one, and anyone who has shot both brands what you find best.

I was thinking of getting the aa ultimate springer but have decided to give a multishot another go.
Having a great rifle isn't the be all and end for a hunting rifle for me

Speed of reload sux, i can walk 30m while reloading and that sux.
I can watch critters stop and buy time got pellet reloaded they are on move again.
Weight like tx and 97 is horrific for extended night shoots when walking the farm.

These flash scopes ive had with ao and huge zoom arnt any great advantage unless your holed up or taking super long range shots. For busting bunnies,possums, birds within the range of a air gun its serious over kill in my view

I'm more than happy with holdover and find it way quicker.
So any scope recommendations would be appreciated..illuminated reticle and mildots would be nice.
4x or 6x, set focal no zoom is ideal.

To all you gamo shooters out there who don't say much cause this forum can be at times full of brand snobs who blanket rubbish a make in genral, or feel the need to add thier view in a comment just to rubbish someones gun.

It takes more skill to learn and shoot a lower quality gun like a gamo, accurately than a gun that is made to higher quality.
You could shoot my hw fine, id have to get use to the gamo.

My second airgun was a Gamo whisper with a gas ram. It ate scopes until I got a half decent nikko on it. But I did enjoy it until I sold it to buy my first HW97k.

Cheers js ill have a look at crosman. I wasnt aware they made a multishot.

Tr6 myy 1322 is probley a worse build than most gamos. Still love it. While your at it have a bleat about all the useless pellets too.😁

Cheers mercs I'll look at two of those. The barrel fixed barrel is out. I agree with price verses quality, it will be a second hand rifle.

I think pauly that is the crux of it. You learn your rifle. Im still not impressed with the gamo i had but there was potential there as a short range gun. The magnums maybe over powered but ill probley get a spring kit for what ever i get and adjust then.
I was pretty disappointed
With the spring set up in the hw97. Its crap compared to the tbt kit i got. No slip washer, no bottom nylon spring guide.
Ive seen gamo diagrams that include these parts on models.

Is the night vision rated for springers? If not don't put it on unless your ok with it dying rather quick.
As for using it for spotting, its a real pain in the arse walking around with a night vision scope, spotting, getting the range then having to put it down and change to gun with scope and light half the the night. There's one other thing to be aware of too. You will be light blinded by the night vision, when going from nv to standard scope.
Use your other eye for nv.
Ive never been a fan of gamo pellets. But even then things like the redfire pellet worked well in the gamo,tx,and sig didn't make the final cut but always in the top 5.
Its just like their guns in my view. They put out some usable guns. But probley never make anything top notch.
