Last week I scored a free sheet of 16 mm ply. Decent quality too, and one face had a stained finish that sealed it nicely, so I was able to make myself a bench.

The good thing about this is that it will come out of one 2.4 x 1.2 sheet. I will run the router around all the edges and then apply a stain to seal it off. I think 18 mm would be the ultimate, but this 16 mm feels pretty good.

Very pleased with it and a good design. Happy to share the plans, just PM me with your email or mobile and I will send it, but I will try and put it here as well.

That looks nice.
Certainly smarter than the wobbly one I cut and nailed together from scavenged pallets
Walk quietly, but carry a big stick.

Whats good about this is that it pulls apart and is easily trasportable, kind of like a flat pack.

Excellent! And if it's stable enough with 16 mm it's perfect.
Nice work Paul!
