Nice I do pest control on a farm up these ways I'm using either my slazenger or sportco 22lr. Up until recently I've just been using a hand held spotlight and then a light mounted on the rifle when shooting.

Yesterday I signed up a 75acre dairy farm for some pest control, mainly rabbits.
I went out to look at the farm and their paddocks are huge, and the grass is long! Was quite a daunting prospect looking at those big paddocks, I'm used to much smaller horse paddocks, that I can usually, almost, reach the back of with my little .177 12FPE Elly. Now I was looking at paddocks 200m long, and full of thick long grass, how the heck was my Elly going to get to rabbits in there??? So I pulled out my Anschultz .22LR and started prepping it... Spent about 2 hours putting some "adaptor" rails onto it, to convert the 9mm dovetail into a 20mm pic rail, then fitted the Pard 35 digital day/night scope and bore sighted it as best I could from my garage Now I need to get to a shooting range (someones paddock) and zero it in for some long shots with some sub-sonic ammo. Last night I went out to this dairy farm to start the job there. Dont have the .22LR zeored yet, so all I had was little Elly. Still managed to get 28 rabbits, 1 possum and 1 big fat rat. Not a bad night. On a property like this I could REALLY use a 30 or 40FPE PCP, pushing 30gr .22 slugs at 950fps... That would be my first choice over the Anschultz .22LR and could knock bunnies over at 100 or 120m nicely, but I just havent for the money to buy one at the moment!
