They’re a great platform to play with. Aesthetically I like the 2250 with pistol grips and 2240 barrel as it ends flush with the tube.

My project version of the XL now fitted with brass moderator and Bushnell red dot sight.
I may develop on the the brass theme.
The Picatinny rail section is permanent and the unit can swap quickly between optics.

Yes the 22 and 17 denotes the calibre.

Plinking with an early 2240 yesterday and it tested at 470 fps and 7 ft/lb.

Pictured is a stock 1740.

2250 has a longer barrel and main tube is longer and has the stock. 2240 shorter barrel and grips.

So the 2250 is a carbine that will give you a bit more power because of the longer barrel. You can interchange parts accross all the 22xx range.

Question…
What’s the difference between a 2240 and a 2250?
And does the 22 part of the name refer to .22caliber?
Walk quietly, but carry a big stick.

Definitely lighter tension, perhaps 1/2 but importantly a very predictable release.
Surfaces are cleaned up and tensions set so a very positive latch on the sear when set.
I will go back and have a look both have several thousand pellets through them.

Picture taken at initial fitting, parts and installation by a local engineer.
I am lucky to have had two modified also requires a new hammer  to be made.
Many options available from overseas including adjustable springs and guide.
Simple spring change, alignment and polish of the original two piece system also gives great results.

Hey mercs what's the match trigger.
How big a step up is it from the standard ?
Nice gun and case. 18inch barrel is sweet
