Just stay young at heart!
I’m not much of hunter - don’t get much opportunity. But it would have to be a rifle for me - to still being ok at 10 yards with a pistol is pretty good Mike!
Pistols are good fun to help keep your skills up though

Shot gun air rifle. Altered to your spec. Widen your strike zone. Work within ya limitations and youll still be shooting at 90.

Thanks for that, I might have too. I have a close friend on mine who imports dart guns for vets and farmers. He sells a pump version which is a modified 362 but with a .50cal smoothbore barrel for the darts. I've wondered about getting one and making .50cal slugs to fire through it.

They look like a good little pumper - good power for birds from 4 pumps plus ability to add steel breech etc.
there are more coming, word is ready to ship but no ships coming here at the moment! Eta end October - you can likely put your name down to reserve one for when the arrive

My little cannon multipump is brilliant fun. Needs a better scope so I can stretch it's legs out. It loves the JSB Hades

Yep its got me thinking a multipump model is way more suited to what I need.
The self sufficient nature of the gun
Is something that appeals to me.
It can be modified enough that it should give enough fpe to take a rabbit at close range, but be primaraly a bird gun.
Cheers that did help.

having a constant supply of disposible co2 can be a problem for some, its not exactly cheap anymore either, the solution can be to convert to some form of bulk fill system, but that can have its issues to particularly with 2240 type pistols but that depends allso on how you use the gun,and wether you want keep a pistol compact and light weight,i hate the large co2 bottles some fit on many co2 guns, the larger the bottle the heavier and badly balanced the gun gets evan on rifles witch to me kind of defeats the purpose you liked gun in first place, personaly tho a pcp man thru and thru i have real soft spot for co2 2240/2250 pistols and carbines, just like the things,my personal solution is to use the same co2 tube they come with convert valve and cylander to be bulk fillable, this keeps gun bout same as factory but gives the advantage of cheaper bulk fills, you need to fit orings to front of valve remove the penertrating pin fit oring to front plug and fit a fill valve to it,you still get 12 plus grams co2 without gas cylander so shot counts remain same, and gun still loks balances and handles like factory gun,if you modify valve replace plastic beech etc fit barrel at lest 12in long its possible to get 11/12fpe with 14.3 gr pellets which is enuf for effective small game hunting in a co2 pistol, you can use longer barrels for carbines and increase fpe up a bit more, and still have a nice well balanced pistol or carbine that looks same as factory gun,its realitivly easy to convert to using hpa which will if done right significantl further increase fpe level but at a reduced shot count depending on the hpa capacity, hpa conversions can be done two ways buy a hipac hpa unit follow instructions properly and you have very easily converted a co2 gun to a pcp.second option is to make whole new tube and hpa cylander, which is quite bit of work evan if you know what you are doing, word of warning needed here this is legal to do to a co2 pistol but if done to a carbine that comes under the designation of a pcp rifle which requires you have a firearms licence, the problem with fitting large capacty co2 bottles to these guns is that co2 isnt light like hpa so the bigger the co2 bottle the more the gun weighs which kind of defeats the purpose of mofifying a nice lightweight gun to me,just to get a much higher shoot count. i havnt purchased 12gr co2 cartridges for years as have large stock pill bought years ago when they were cheap i allso have large supply bulk co2 in the form of co2 fire extingishers, but you should get approx 16 full power shots at approx 11fpe from one 12 gr co2 cartridge,
 hope this helps.
 cheers mike
