Ok that looks intreging. can you turn the extra two dots off?
Should be handy though, I find hold over on the red dot a bit of an educated guess ( not that I've gotten much shooting in with it. This weather suuux. |

No, they are vertical, zero on top dot, then use the two dots brow for further distances

That is very interesting, I need to get a couple of red dots. Was looking at 3 dot reticle that they use on crossbows to see if they are any good for balistics

I'll throw some targets up if weather allows tomorrow. At moment sighted in 10m at moment, punching bull everytime. Dot shape changed when on rifle (differnt distance from eye I guess) more like two dots joined in center now.Totally usable. Yep theres a certain brightness that sharpens them up nicley. Using dot at moment, prefure the circle with a cross but I end up with double outer ring on right hand side that puts me off. Ill try both eyes open tomorrrow too, see how that goes. Cheers

Very good information, my astigmatism is in left eye so as a right hander not too bad when using scopes and red dots.
I have found when it starts to look a bit weird, work at keeping both eyes open even briefly and clarity is improved. Hopefully your unit will have a multi setting illuminated reticle and some will look better than others. I am looking forward to your posts.

So i got me red dot(holograph) and
the red dot was not a dot. It was elongated. The first thought was oh great damaged in transport. Got on web to look for a fix. Heres what i found. A lot of people have stigmata on the eye and dont even know and it doesnt really affect them untill things like a dot sight. To check its you and not the sight, look through the sight off the gun and while staring at it turn the sight slowly in a 360 circle. If the deromation stays the same place its your eye. If it moves in a circle with the dot its the scope. Unfortunatly mine is my eye. The scope can be set for infinite which may or may not help. If your using holograph, red dot may be better. Or just use the sight and know what part of the dot your zeroing on. It doesnt matter if its not perfect because of your eye the scope is still accurate. Im off to put red dot on and sight in. |
