Well Nunga that has not my experience. The SAT with a slightly longer second stage adjustment screw is very good. Maybe not up there with a Record but pretty close. Just as good if not better than the Hatsan Quattro.

the SAT triggers are no better than the original crappy ones that they came out with...SAT = sh*t action Trigger...no idea how they can call it a "Smooth" action trigger!!

There is a Challenger for sale on Trade me. Price at the moment is $105. No idea of reserve but they were originally just over $1200 and then came down to $750.00. The one in the TM photo is ugly they are vastly improved with a timber cheek piece and butt plate and cut that rubbishy muzzle brake off.
Trouble is the barrel is oversized in the bore but substitute a CFX barrel and they are a good rifle. Lot of bother to get it to shoot well when you can buy an HW95 for about the same money. It took Gamo a long time to listen to the gunners who were telling them that their triggers were bad and then they came up with SAT and CAT. Wonder how long it will take them to realise that the plastic on the muzzle just is not god enough. |
