Increasing velocity almost always helps the accuracy until you get to a point, normally around 950fps where it can destabilize depending on the pellet design.

What you do with a 22xx really depends on what you want from it, they are very versatile! The longer 2250 barrel helps with a bit more power on CO2 but detracts from its compact pistol looks, an HPA conversion as a pistol can be done with the 2240 barrel for good power and a small tidy tube design still keeps it looking like a pistol.

I have heaps of bits in a draw for PCP conversions and multi shot breaches etc, I should really get back into a 22xx build some time.

So, at this point in time I don't need a firearms license for a PCP handgun, just a PCP long rifle?

That may change going by comments made to me recently by someone at the Firearms Safety Authority....
