I know Brian was keen to do some form of benchrest a while ago. You could hit him up, you never know.

I know of two air rifle clubs that do Field Target, Brian in Hamilton and Alex at Matamata, but their ranges/clubs are only set out on certain days for FT (as far as I'm aware).
If I win the lotto, I'm buying some land and setting up a full time, dedicated shooting range, with full facilities, undercover shooting benches, toilets, club room, coffee shop... I might even have a 30m indoor range. I'll definitely have a 200m outdoor range with permanently set up spinners from 10m out to 200m, and I'd shoot every day!

It would interesting to see what's out there for pcp/airguns. I know Auckland have a couple of clubs up that way.

I've never heard of anything in Wgtn for benchrest/fixed target shooting. When our FT club was operating we were considering benchrest at our Otaki range, but the the new regs bulldozed that and any gained interest.

There is the Keene range, a smallbore range in Petone, Wellington that welcomes air gunners one night a week.

Otherwise I know a lot of other ranges totally snubbed air gunners after enquiries were made a few years ago. They just weren't prepared to even consider it. Quite snobbish, and very sad.

The range is having some construction work and seems delayed a bit. Looks like it is still unclear when the range will be fully available and how it works.

We shoot silhouettes with pistols also.

If there's no Island or national championships as such I'd be keen to attend a club champs if that's allowed so please post your calendar or details of how to access it.

North harbor airgun club do all three. Paper, Silhouettes and FT. They normally send me their calendar for the years shoots but i have not received one yet.

The only Silhouette shooting our club does is mainly pistol shooting.

I'm sure showing my ignorance!

Paper targets are what we shoot at our club, 25yds indoors or 50m outside, both on small bore ranges.  We also do mirrored silhouettes indoors, but not FT.

Are there any competitions of this type anywhere in the country other than just Taranaki?
