Look for a number stamped into the butt, my Diana 25 has 60 which apparently refers to 1960. Mines very rough and an unreliable trigger catch, sear and very low power. And missing the sight like yours. I'm in timaru

Thought I’d mention that a Meteor Mk1 or most of the rear sights with the wedge fitting should able to be fitted to your 25.
I spotted a sight on John Knibbs UK site a while back, so might be worth checking out to see if is still listed. Cheers. Declan |

At $50 you can never go wrong. As mentioned Diana was made in GB (Scotland) by Milbro after the war, so likely 1950s. German Diana had date stamp on the cylinder, look closely around the rifle stock / butt - there may be a date stamp on there somewhere The rear sight will be difficult to find parts for but worth asking around. You can get reproduction out of germany, however the landed cost will be 4 x the rifle cost:

The Diana’s usually have the date of manufacture stamped on the tube, usually left hand side, above the trigger. xx(year) xx(month)

Thanks for that, yes I was looking into the age of it and was trying to find out about it being made in Britain.
J-S are you there to shed any light on ages? |

Nice Billbob.
She will look beautiful after a refurbish and some loving. If it was made in GB, it is a post was gun. Germany had all its weapons manufacturing rights taken away anfter the war and a company in UK took over the Diana name. I stand to be corrected but I think they were made in a factory in Scotland. |

Diana are a good quality gun, so be the way to go I guess.
