Definitely both have helped Kruz. The shots I did with other pellets types using the new hold were much better than before but the best I managed (noticeably) was with the selected small JSBs. I still plan to buy a tin of 4.50 and see if that has even smaller sizes that I can try. I think the bore in this gun could be undersized.

I didn't know that trick Pauly.
That could come in very handy. I wanted to get that "c" spacer at back sitting in a bed of gel each side that tensioned to stock. That sounds like the perfect solution. Cheers. Cheers appresiated. |

Hey Kruz, if you empty a tube of silicone into water that has a good dollop of dishwashing liquid, you can pick it up by hand and shape it. Once it stops smelling vinegar like it's cured. Maybe you could make shapes to fit certain spots,

28mm is sweet. Bringing it down in increments. How much do you attribute to the pellet size and how much the hold Tr6?

Thus is true. When taking the gel photo arranged as so I wouldn't have too. Only remembering the other photo at the end of writing. Which is why it's at the end.
But alas this true. Pixels wasted needlessly |

I measured up some JSBs tonight and selected five that were 4.40 or smaller. I had also done a few shots prior adopting the triangular arm bracing method along with the quick trigger pull. So the 5 shots with undersized JSBs and the revised technique gave me a group of 28mm c/c. Not great, but a lot better than what I was managing previously so I've managed to make some progress after all. Edited by KiwiTR6 - 19 Sep 2023 at 8:35pm |

So thought might give you guys a bit of a laugh at my mocking up what I need to do. These will all get done properly at some stage. To the right the hammer beaten spacer. Inside the stock a spacer for back. It's a half circle so it spring loaded against the sides, to transfer some of the recoil to the screw to the wall . I need to change material. The gel I'll be using. I'll be cutting a paper.pattern tomorrow. I'll sand the ribs down and put a plastic (not sure what is good any sujestions appresiated) along the bottom keeping form. Sand the side out. Cut and lay the gel, sitting a 1/4 out from the original stock thickness then screw the cylinder to stock. Hopefully it will squeeze into the gel compessing the 1/4 thicker, creating a nice firm bed that absorbs more vibration and transfers the rest to the ribs evenly. Also adds some weight but not to much. My barrel and reciever are sweet. Put a bit of cylinder lube down and fired a shot. Barrel seal is leaking. Oil around the seal after shot. Oh and the trigger adjuster... Will be redone properly. Apart from the gel which I will do right first time it's all prototyping. Edited by kruzaroad - 19 Sep 2023 at 8:31pm |

Sweet just found a gel insert can experiment with.
This may or may not work but be interesting trying. Back to Hastings for a bit of tinkering I think. |
