Hi Paul,
Sounds like an interesting gun, especially the bull pup stock. Did the S510’s come with a factory reg, or is this an aftermarket one you have fitted? Do you have any pics and a price in mind? |

Hi Paul,
Yeah - I think mine is quite rare?! I expect this is a later S410 model (?) when Air Arms converted to side levers? Whatever, it's my favourite PCP (if I had to choose one)! It makes a distinctive sound when fired and is so accurate (without a regulator!). And it's lighter than my lovely S510... On hot days I dab jam on my target faces and shoot bluebottles at 60yds (my zero) all day long!!! Splat! We are blessed!!!! Best recent shot with this rifle is a Starling at 137yds out of the tops of a macrocarpa - it just dropped stone dead, lights out! Anyone else out there with a side lever S410? |

Well there you go. I didn't realise the 410 had a side lever.
My only experience with them was with the strait pull bolt. |

Hi Pete,
See this: This is my S410 SL Classic .22 model with a side lever instead of a bolt. If you look down the right-hand side of the rifle you'll see a round silver power adjust button just below the magazine. It's shown in the High Power position - for Low Power, you just turn this button clockwise. If you choose to look at Paul's S510 Carbine .177, you are most welcome to meet Paul "halfway" at my place near Feilding if you'd like to?. Then you can both use my range to check everything out... |

It's basically an adjustable transfer port. And I think the only other differences between the 410 and 510 is a barrel shroud and cocking lever as opposed to bare barrel and straight pull bolt.
I'm sure Myson will add photos for you.

Hi Pete,
My S410 and S510 have power adjustment on board. And with silencers, they are whisper quiet and 12-32Ft/lbs. I'd suggest you get something similar because:
That way you get the best of both worlds. I use my low power for pigeons and rats in barns, my high power for shooting out to 150yds... Horses next door don't get bothered by either power level, due to the silencers. Perfect! |

We had a horse next door, it would run to the other side of the paddock any time I was shooting. The cows would come right up and stand beside my 40m target to see what the noise was about

Didn't realise horses were that skittish. Good to know. Ive shot around stock (bulls/calves) with the sig, which is a pretty loud gun, and it's never caused more than a head lift and glance. That's from just a few meters away and at night at times.

I have an S510 carbine that I have fitted a Lane reg to. Currenty it's in a custom bullpup stock, but can be returned to std stock.
It's .177, and has the adjustable power, but I leave it around 11 - 12 fpe. Has 2 x 10 shot mags and a custom silencer. Although it's a carbine, the reg gives about 80 consistent shots before it drops of the reg. I'm in Wellington, but if it interests you message me.
