About 1 month or so ago I bought the Falcon T50i (from Optics NZ). Bought it as a 'spare' scope in case my Sightron Slll 45x45 scope ever played up. The Sightron has very fine cross hairs with a centre dot.
The Falcon T50i has slightly thicker cross hairs with a small gap in the centre where the 'dot' lives.
I only shoot indoors 25 yards BR now, and have now used both scopes for that.
The Sightron I've had for about 2 years. It's a lovely scope, but sometimes old eyes have a spot of bother with the fine cross hairs.
The Falcon has those 'tactical' wee lines spaced along the cross hairs. No use to me, but maybe OK for others.
The centre dot area is nice and clear of clutter though.
This thing is heavy...920g (nearly 1kg of scope) so it's a weighty wee thing.
Has a 34mm tube, 60mm objective. I bought Audere 34mm rimfire (11mm dovetail) LOW rings as they were all I could find here in NZ...and they are fine too. Nicely made in Italy.
I mounted the rings and Falcon T50i to my Anschutz 9015 HP BR50 (PCP airgun), and went shooting.
Took a while to sort out eye relief, etc but then I was up and running.
My head height has to be higher now, as this scope is big and sits up.
That centre dot at 50 power makes the 2mm dot I'm aiming at look rather big. I can easily see the scope dot sitting nicely inside the 2mm diameter of the target centre dot at 25 yards. Oh yes...the reticle dot is illuminated too if you need that feature. Red or green, and with variable 'glow'.
The glass is clean and clear. Reticle is crisp. All controls work smoothly. Open turrets (no caps) which I also like.
Well it's a no-brainer that the Anschutz shoots OK...and the T50i does not let it down.
After all my sighting in and adjusting I fired my last 6 shots and each one took out the centre dot of the target card.
Yes, it's nice to use and here in NZ about 1/2 the price of the Sightron Slll 45x45.
It's springer rated too.
