Well yes, but a $200 CFX with a $65 Nunga trigger is going to be a fairly good rifle - old Gamo can be fairly accurate and certainly a capable hunting airgun. No way you can get a high grade underlever for $300... I got a HW77 for $400, but it was a bloody wreck!

I tried a cfx at bbs.
It was an accurate gun over the distance I was shooting. I personally think a trigger job would have elevated 10 fold. I'd be happy with one for hunting mid range if its trigger was worked . (I'm not a gamo fan at all) and weight differnce between that and tx or weihrauch would probly have me using it more over mid range. But that's my view from very limited use of one. My triggers will take up a lot of pull and it will be a true two stage trigger as well.

They can be purchased from Krale but work out very pricey after shipping: https://www.krale.shop/en/trigger-charlie-da-tuna-grt-3/ "polishing a turd" in my view..... you're better off investing in Weihrauch, Diana, Air Arms!

There used to be a unit you could buy.
"Charlie the tuner" or someone made it. There might even be something on this forum in the past.

As Pauly said, it’s an underlever gamo.
I believe the CFX is a springer and the CFR is a gas ram. I’ve done the longer screw mod, but you still need to pull and pull and pulllllllll… A lighter, crisper trigger would make that rifle quite nice. Thanks. Pete. |

Just the trigger blades, But. I could look into the rest of the mechanism, Would have to see how tricky things get as i believe some of the mechanism parts are hardened steel so i would have to do some mucking around. The CRF is a crosman right?
