I didn't do the maths as you've done! We'll be shooting rifles again on Wednesday so if the weather's crap and we shoot indoors at 25 yards then I'll see how the HW50 goes and report back. If the weather's good and we shoot outside on the 50m range, then I'll be using the Diana Outlaw. I gave him the benefit of excluding the flyers as we all have them. The group was excellent based on the results at our range as a reference, rather than the group I'd shot. The BSA is gorgeous with the walnut stock and if it ever gets to NZ would be a good alternative to the other expensive springers available here. |

So i was wondering why you though you wernt as good as that.
So being you were 3mm wider at 10m i went to chat gpt for the answer. I asked the angle of your shot being 3mm wider. That worked out at 0.0086° The distance center to centre between pellets on of your shot at 25m is 3.75mm. Add 4.5mm ( the sum of the two other halves past the pellet centers) gives 8.25mm group full width. That is better than what he shot. I can see 3 pellets wide on his target. you shot just under 2 pellets wide. I've got the equations if anyone wants to see them. Way above me. Edited by kruzaroad - 17 Jan 2025 at 10:08pm |

This lovely little springer has been hanging on the wall for just over a year (don't stress, it's been removed and cared for during that period) since 'I purchased it for the wife'. It's fitted with a KonusPro 4x32 scope and has probably had no more than 50 pellets through it in that time. I decided to give it a short workout tonight after wasting some time trying to sight in an old piece of junk for a shooting buddy. This is the result, a single 5 shot group with JSB 8.44gr pellets at 10m immediately after sighting in. A very impressive 0.12" group (C/C). I gave up while I was ahead |

After watching the accuracy of the gun in this review (they're boring as hell to watch but the gun's accuracy is super impressive) my result at 10m doesn't look so great. The son (I assume) is shooting at 25m and the main group of 5 or 6 shots is tiny. Edited by KiwiTR6 - 17 Jan 2025 at 1:02pm |

Even standing rested is gonna make it harder, lot more movent from body than seated for sure.
Im very sceptical I'll make the 9.2mm to equal it. I'll throw it up when I've attempted it. Either way its a win, win. One way I impress myself. The other it helps emphasize what good shooting the original target was. |

Yeah, that's odd the later posts have gone to the top. The site was down earlier today so maybe that has something to do with it. Yes, the gun was rested with me standing as I shoot over vehicles in my shed at night. If I were shooting unsupported I doubt I could hold the target steady for long enough to make it worth my while pulling the trigger! 'Her gun' is a token really. She got me into this airgun rabbit hole I'm now very deeply down by berating me for selling my horrid Gamo which I wasn't using, but had apparently at some point 'given to her'. The spending hasn't stopped since And yes, I've just realized when loading this photo that I committed a cardinal sin by having the barrel sitting on the front rest Can't upload photo. Looks like there is an issue with the site after all. Nunga? |

great rifles; we have a couple as club rifles - they arent over powered so they dont have a huge kick, great for shooters of all ages. accurate, well built. they seem small but they are quite managable for adults and not too heavy for younger shooters
