Well, it's the end of an era. Just sold my last firearm, after 53 years of shooting. Not getting the use. Have decided to have some fun with an air rifle. Scored this rig for $200. As far as I can tell, an excellent buy. Gamo whisper in .177, Stoeger 3-9 x 40 scope, after market trigger. If I get into it, andfind I need to, will upgrade down the track.

Be a short track to the first junction. Youll feel the need to upgrade. Lol. Be keen to hear how it works out. π

Welcome to the world of air guns π
They donβt have the reach of powder burners, but you donβt always need to shoot 500m, and some air rifles can be increadibly accurate, way more than most powder burners. They are much cheaper to shoot, much quieter and most can even be back yard friendly, but you can still enjoy all the challenges of being as accurate as you want ππ» Be warned though, they can be addictive π |

Good price,
Stoeger scope so will be airgun rated and good to see a 4 screw clamp on the mount. Mid power range Gamo so will be manageable. Interested in the trigger and any information and thoughts on usability. What pellets are in the green boxes, I have Gamo Rocket Destroyers in similar black boxes and they work well but are a touch expensive for plinking. H&N Field Target Trophy pellets, JSB Match Diabolo Jumbo or Crosman Premier domed all good options. Look forward to future posts.

Welcome Growly,
I had one of those a few years ago. It was a good gun, and I only sold it to fund another. Upgraded trigger is probably one of the best upgrades I reckon. Make sure you try a few different pellets through it, as you will need to find what it likes. In theory ability to hit a bottle top consistantly at 20m is a good way to judge. |

The guy I got it off has given me the ammo it likes best. I used the bottle top method for my .22LR.

I'm in Fairton. Only just got my air rifle. Have been doing rabbit shooting with a .22, but not getting out much. So sold it, and got this. Now I can practice at home and try for a rabbit across the road.
