Copied from other forum, with more details
------------------------------

If anyone would like to give airgun shooting a go North Harbour Air Gun Club is having an Open Day this Sunday from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

We will set out some paper targets, metallic silhouettes and some field targets.

Ron Young from Youngs Airguns will be bringing a range of rifles along so you do not need to bring your own.

The entrance to the club is opposite 67 Churchouse Road in Greenhithe. You drive through the gate and follow the road to the end.

So come along and have a go.

Regards

Hey, I'm new to this page and over the last year been just getting into air gun shooting but an amateur. Is this a place that I could come along to shoot and potentially bring my own gun (Benjamin xl1100/ Stoeger X20) for practice and target shooting sometime? What's the cost?

Definitely the right sort of place, I'd say take advantage of the open day and go have a look. You'll see/try some pretty flash gear, and there's plenty of experienced shooters there, including the current worlds FT women's champ , so plenty of scope to learn a lot as well.
All the relative info (costs dates etc) will be on hand

Well worth a visit

I think membership to that club is $50.00 for the year.  they charge $10.00 to shoot on the range if your not a member but im not sure if there is a entry fee on their open day.

Their range fees have dropped to $5 if you're a member of any of the NZAFTA affiliated clubs as well, which is good news for all of us :)
