Measure your pellets, every tin seems to have a variation in size.
You'll probly have some.
What pellets are you using?

I have about a third of a tin of Gamo pro magnum that are a very tight fit in my gun so I suspect they may be oversize.    I also have a digital vernier Micrometer on order and due in the next day or two.  If it turns out they are 5.6 you can have them as they don't shoot well in my gun at all - I was probably going to put them in my scrap lead tin to melt down for fishing sinkers!

I'll let you know once I know more.

It can be quite challenging to find the pellet(s) that a particular gun "likes"  I got 5 different pellets with the 2nd hand 22 Gamo I bought to deal to the local possum population that were helping themselves to our gardens (they seem to be very fond of cabbage and silverbeat) our roses and the chook food.  The gun didn't seem to like any of them! I have since found a pellet it seems to like better.

I have since become a bit addicted and have bought an old chineese 177 break barrel rifle that I picked up on trademe for $15 that I'm going to srtip down clean, and rebuild to see if I can make it better.  Only has open sights and no rail for a scope but seems ot shoot reasonably OK with JSB exacts at 10m.  I also bought a Gamo P900 break barrel air pistol which does  not like the JSB pellets much but does with Apolo pellets.

I recently bought an old Webley Mark 1 that is missing a breach seal so is not useable at this stage.  I have a replacement on the way from Ron Young and should have this working mid next week - hopefully it will like the pellets I currently have.

I also bought a Hatsan 30 cal break barrel.  It is very heavy, quite hard to cock  and has significat recoil.  Still learning how shot it well but is seems to like the H&N pellets I have.  I also have some Air Boss pellets for it but haven't tested these much.   Hopefuly the horendous winds we have had here recently have stopped and I will be able to get some time for more practice.  I can practise with the pistols at 6 yards inside the garage but have not had much time recently.

I am very lucky in that another forum member lives on a life style property not too far from me and has invited me over to his palce for some testing as he has a resonable selection of both 177 and 22 pellets we can test with.  It soon gets expensive buying pellets only to find you gun dosn't like them.  Hence me ofering to give you the Gamo pellets I know my gun doesn't like.  Someone has offered to help me test my guns with a selection of pellets he has available so it seems fair for me to help someone else.
