i still have one those mini lathes in storage handy little buggers tho not sure if you can get 4 jaw for them  but the tool shed would know as they sell lot these mini lathes,you can do lot mill work on drill press using a compound sliding vice you can buy for approx $100 if you are only doing small mill jobs,you would be surprised what you can do and make using very simple machine tools and evan hand tools if you really put your mind to it.

I was planning on doing the crown on a 2240 barrel. I can fit 20 mm through the spindle. I haven't done anything major a yet. Biggest thing I've made was an aluminium shroud/silencer for my EV2. So you done any bore polishing or crowned barrels on it Pauly?
I well imagine that ports and valves would all be a possibility as well.
