I use the same kind of setup for mine, tho i haven't used it for a while now as im also side tracked on other stuff at the moment plus im waiting on surgery to fix my mangled up hand so i can't  do too much anyway, I also have a couple of 3d printers here so if you need anything printed out give us a shout.

I use a sash clamp too. I've never had any more difficulty with a gas spring than with a steel one.

Thanks guys, I think the sash clamp embedded into the board with some sides to keep it from tourqing sideways might do. Originally had a ld shash clamp of my father's but I lost the end off the handle end it had a wide cupped end that fitted perfectly on most guns I've done in the past. Block of timber, cut a slot in it with a skilly to the same depth as the sash clamp. I use a kwikgrip clamp (I'm think that's a sash clamp. One a builder uses) with the barrel off, a block of wood between the barrel arms, (seal has been on barrel)
And a block of wood on back.

I just use a sash clamp. Not as secure as a purpose made one, and i've never done a gas ram. Evening all.

Been side tracked on other projects, only a couple here know that I do a bit of taxidermy on the sideline. In the middle of a couple of red stags heads at the moment (will post pics when done but one is a monster)

Question is.... I need a new gunpress thingy for taking springers apart safely. My existence home made clamp arrangement works fine but I don't trust it with taking gas ram guns apart. Trying to reassemble my Webley Patriot with gas ram upgrade I got into it then chickened out!
