Originally i liked the 220gr bullets for knockdown smashing power but the 200gr bullets shot a lot flatter, i was told to try the roundballs and they shootvvery straight very consistentlt accurate with good technique and absolutely minimal recoil, barely noticable  my daughter at 7 years old used to shoot the top one.

I gave them away but may get snother shortly  my last one was on a 1911 frame, was amazing but again gifted it to a long time friend.

Here is one of mine its built by the same guy  not Wingman  is .45 it was shooting 220gr bullets we swagged ourzelfs but on my new one zi shot 143gr round balls same as black power. I bought 700 for $300 but also a mold and cast my own. Every old lead head nail, wheel balancing weight on an old tyre etc

Whenever I get a wild cat or possum in my cage trap, I use an old Crosman 1322 pump-up .22 pistol to kill them in the head at point blank range.

I had a similar experience. I had to control cats around a cool store. I would trap them then dispatch them with my Maruader pistol 10 fpe in 22. I even shot one at about 15m between the eyes and it dropped, but there was one cat that at point blank where the pellet stuck in the back of his skull, I could see it there. Didn't kill it, and needed a second to the side of it's head. Where might a person be able to acquire such a pcp pistol?
I’m thinking for euthanasing trapped animals, so it wouldn’t need to be sheep or cow power, but enough to deal with a possum or feral cat.

I used to use a crossman co2 powered .22 pistol, it was fine for rats, hedgehogs, ferrets, and possums, but its power was marginal for feral cats.
Also I hate the idea of single use disposable co2 cartridges, which invariably leak over the few days inbetween needing to use the pistol.
A full size pcp rifle does the job, but a pistol would be much easier to carry around.

That's interesting you finding cats are hard to kill like possums are. 

Years ago we had a mad cat woman - she was on the telly  - and I ended up trapping some cats and really surprised how a slug in the ear at point blank range sometimes did not do the trick the first time.

It turned what I thought was a routine dispatch into a very unpleasant job.
