Author: kruzaroad
Subject: 1360
Posted: 16 Jul 2026 at 12:26pm

Ive spent a lot of time refining the way gpt works with me.
Which is why it probly mentioned diana guns.
The Turkish web site itself isnt to bad. Signed up the other day to have a look.
Gpt started asking for me get head diameter consistency, skirt sizes, damaged pellets per tin, skirt wall thickness, how well they loaded and grouped etc so it could do an evaluation against other brands of same wieght and type etc. Crazy really but thats the sort of thing it excells at. Comparing factual data. Can do research and cover multiple sites in multiple countries in the time it takes me to go through one. Still it has limits and can't access some sites and reviews.
H&n barricuda 18, jsb jumbo heavy and the skypellets heavy dome all in ,22 will be an interesting comparison to run. All same wieght and should be about same size. If you want when you get them id be keen to swap a hundred jsb and tin for h&n 18 ( diana dont like the 18 and i brought two tins, jsb im stocked up on) for a hundred skypellets so i can run comparison tests on them and you can do likewise.
Im a dome pellet person. Don't think pointed are worth it as they get point damage and don't seem to improve anything accuracy wise. Extra Penitration is not something i want either. Pellets dump little enough energy without a point to help them dump less.
Things like hollow points or those designed to expand are usually pretty useless in a springer as they dont have power to expand them in flesh. Pcp is a different story but then slug preformance way outstrips pellet expansion and bc.
Id use the ai comments as things to look out for, not an expatiation as i never asked for dates of articals and usually things like that often are people complaining as they test a new brand.
But if you find it accurate that says something about the qc being they have a few few years under thier belt now.

Edited by kruzaroad - 16 Jul 2026 at 12:28pm

    Author: kruzaroad
Subject: 1360
Posted: 15 Jul 2026 at 8:30am

Heres what gpt found out on skypellets.

SkyPellets – Background Research Summary

Research compiled by ChatGPT (GPT-5.5) from publicly available manufacturer information and translated discussions on Turkish airgun forums.

I became curious about SkyPellets because there is very little independent information available in English. Most of the material I could find comes directly from the manufacturer, so I searched Turkish airgun forums where the brand is more commonly discussed. The summary below reflects recurring themes from those discussions rather than a scientific test.

Manufacturer

SkyPellets is manufactured by SKY METAL SANAYI VE TİCARET A.Ş., located in Torbalı, İzmir, Turkey. According to the company, production began in 2019, manufacturing lead airgun pellets for both domestic and export markets. Their range includes domed, pointed and wadcutter pellets in both .177 and .22 calibres.

At the time of writing I found no evidence that SkyPellets are simply rebadged pellets from another manufacturer, nor evidence that they manufacture pellets sold under other well-known brands. They appear to be producing their own products.

Summary of Turkish user feedback

The comments are mixed. Some shooters are very happy with certain models, while others report problems with different models. The criticism generally focuses on individual pellet types rather than the entire brand.

Positive observations

- Several shooters reported good accuracy with particular models.
- The 15.89 grain .22 dome received a number of favourable comments regarding accuracy and the softer, cleaner lead used.
- The 7.87 grain .177 flat pellet was reported to perform consistently in target pistol use.
- Some owners of Diana spring rifles reported no problems and considered them good value for general shooting.

Negative observations

Repeated comments included:

- Inconsistent pellet-to-pellet quality within some tins.
- Pellets fitting excessively tightly in certain barrels.
- Occasional reports of pellets sticking in lower-powered spring rifles.
- Flashing (small burrs) remaining on some pellets after manufacture.
- Some models appearing to use a noticeably harder lead alloy.
- Reports that head diameter consistency may be affecting accuracy.

One particularly interesting discussion compared the 15.89 grain and 18.13 grain .22 domes. Several users believed they were produced differently, with the heavier pellet appearing harder, brighter in finish and containing more flashing than the lighter version. If correct, this suggests that manufacturing consistency may vary between pellet models rather than simply between production batches.

Overall impression

Based on the information currently available, SkyPellets appear to be an emerging manufacturer rather than an established premium pellet producer.

Unlike brands such as JSB, H&N or QYS, there is still very little long-term independent testing available. The Turkish discussions suggest that performance depends heavily on the specific pellet model and the rifle being used.

The overall impression is not that SkyPellets are either "good" or "bad" as a brand. Instead, different pellet models appear to have developed different reputations. Some receive consistently positive comments, while others attract repeated criticism.

Sources

Manufacturer

SkyPellets official website:
https://skypellets.com/en/who-we-are

Turkish airgun forum discussions

AirGunTürk – SkyPellets Dome 4.5 mm jam warning (Dikkat!)

https://www.airgunturk.com/forum/thread/35968-skypellets-dome-4-5-mm-ile-t%C4%B1kanma-sorunu-dikkat/

This discussion contains both positive and negative experiences with several SkyPellets models, including comments on alloy hardness, flashing, grouping and pellet consistency.

The forum is in Turkish, but Google Chrome or Google Translate can translate the page into English with good results.

---

This summary reflects information available at the time of writing. As more independent testing becomes available—particularly from shooters outside Turkey—it will become easier to judge where SkyPellets fit in the market.
