I'm recently retired and don't take any note of what day it is other than Wednesdays and Saturdays - both club days at our local shooting range!

I should also mention that I've just imported and fitted a TBT kit to my HW50.  The parts are beautifully made but installation wasn't straight forward.  The trigger block end top hat turned out to be a bit too tall thus preventing the gun from cocking.  I won't say how many dis-assemblies this involved before I figured out exactly what was going on (also embarrassing), but I can say it's now a totally different gun with a very worthwhile improvement in accuracy and feel. 

I did have some email discussions with Nick about the issue and the crux appears to be that the manufacturer has made changes to construction of the internals of this particular model from time to time. It wasn't really a problem for me as I have the gear to make the mods, but it could be a problem for anyone else*.  Regardless, I think the kit is a worthy improvement even if some outside help is required to make it functional.

*Note: I'm prone to receiving faulty goods - always have been!  It is very likely that your TBT kit will work out of the box without modification, although if you have the skills to to dismantle and reassemble your gun then you should have the skills to make any minor adjustments required!

Prior to fitting the kit the gun was putting out 11.6 ft lb, after it is down to 11.0 ft lb. All the twang has gone and after around 10 shots including sighting in the scope I put 5 shots through the same hole at 10m using JSB 8.43 gr pellets.

About 35 years ago I watched a documentry. Totally sucked me in. Ever since then I have been wary of stuff like this in April. But still enjoy it. Thats a bummer. I was hoping to see how tr6 they stabalised the air flow.

"getting power subsonic is difficult" Huh??

But I have thought that with increasing PCP pressures a high SD 4.0mm calibre would be next on the cards.

I find that very curious as from what im understand its sitting in the transonic speed range.
That is when you get that mix of sub and sonic air flow happening which destabilize the pellet.
So im assuming its a shape change as well as material.
Unfortunately i cant get a screen shot when hes holding up the pellet that i can blow up clearly to see its shape ,on the this cheap ph.
Would anyone with a computer be able to take a screen shot and enlarge the pellet and post it please.
If its fast and loses speed fast, then its light and that seems contrary to holding energy for a kill shot.
