Rabbits are absolutely possible with them once tuned up. Most of the tuning can be done with simple hand tools and a drill, much better if you have access to a lathe.

Tuned up in .22 on warm days and heavy pellets should get 18-19fpe which is plenty for rabbits out to 60m so long as its grouping nicely. I have modded one with a .25 marauder barrel which got up to 22-23fpe from memory and grouped well.

From what i understand co2 will only get to a certain pressure by its nature.
Temp will affect the pressure. Hence the shot.
So im not sure how much you can actually gain but i dont think its that much. Think it would be close range for rabbits, dont see it doing longer shots. But there are ppl om site who have user knowledge.

Reviving an old thread but just how good are these with a few mods for rabbits?
I want to keep the co2 as I dont understand how to fill and charge them without having to spend big coin on a compressor or pump.
The chap at gun city said they are not suitable for rabbits (standard) but i kinda am interested in getting one and modifying it.
Is @mintie still interested in doing mods ?

That sounds like a solid setup for bulk fill! The dummy 12g cartridge with the BSP fittings is a smart way to adapt. A close-up and disassembly would definitely be interesting to see. Also, a good paintball regulator helps maintain consistent pressure—this resource has more details!

You can buy heated jackets that use a battery, and quite possibly heated socks too. If you do go bulk filled? Make a dummy 12grm cartridge out of aluminum with a 4mm hole drilled in from the end to a 1/8bsp hole tapped in the side, and I run 1/8 bsp fitting to std paintball fittings to the bottle. I can do some close upstairs and a disassemble of it all if you want
